Yin Yoga stretches and targets both the deep and connective tissues between the muscles and fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility.... This blocks the flow of nutrients and energy through the body, causing pain and limiting mobility.
This style of practice lowers stress and anxiety also it activates your parasympathetic nervous system which calms your body and slows your heart rate (rather than the autonomic nervous system , which triggers your fight or flight response).
